shutter release failure!!!!!!!!!!

canon 20D's are notorious for shutter release failure around the 60,000 shots taken point..

so 2 weeks ago I had to pack it up, send it in, and wait.

I feel like a sailors wife sitting in a window in Gloucester, MA... waiting for the sails of her loved one's ship to appear on the sea's horizon.

in other news. The weather here has been wonderful (new orleans, la) and things are generally rock'n out!.. not make'n enough money, but that's typical. Also, had some prints at an "art" expo this past weekend. A few sales, but great response in general..

good times.. gotta thank Rex from Nola Rising for share'n some table space....

Mardi gras has come and gone. the streets are clean again. I can bike down one of them without some drunk idiot stumbling into the middle of the road. The party is great, but the new orleans I've come to love is the more peaceful version. Where it's beauty isn't tarnished by trash and beads hanging from every possible place.

Over the past few months I've limited the work I've been doing to a select few people. I'm working on advancing my own abilities and technique. A constant job that i love to do. On the side I've been shooting various models for portfolio development and make'n a buck or 2.

In need of a better job and more money to pay off some shit I owe to the state of new hampshire and various other semi-debts.

Bought a motorcycle and have been toying with the idea of travelling the country shooting people, places, and things all around.

There are people I'd like to work with in virtually every corner of this country, so it really only makes sense.. at the moment i'm work'n on the financial part of it.

having serious withdrawls from the band I played in. Figured I'd give a listen to the last recording we did together and i immediately had this overwhelming feeling.. not sure what it was.. but that burning anger that i was born with started dancing around and i could almost feel it smiling.. punk rock has been my outlet for more than 10 years.. although i moved and left a band 1500 miles away, that music has never felt more real to me.. even the older songs have an affect on me that my entire body can feel.

anyhow. i don't know that anyone that actually knows me reads this stuff so i'm not sure why i'm put'n anything down here.. figure it's nice to put things on a table, even if it's only for me to be able to look back on and reference things..

stuff to do.. i'm out for now. cheers!
