First of all i want to congratulate you on this wonderful shot!! But if i am not wrong photo looks edited.. the light source appears to somewhere above your forehead n i see large dark head room there.. i dont understand.. or may be you are too clever for me to understand.. good job anyways!!

the edits done to the shot were simple. I tweaked some levels(ctrl+L) in photoshop to make sure black was BLACK and not some grainy mix of an off black shade..

anyway.. the light source was a strobe located directly above the shower head. Aiming down and slightly away from the walls, towards the model. There are 12 foot ceilings in that bathroom, which allowed the light to be out of frame..

I used a grid to control the spread of light..


so the large dark head room area you are seeing, is actual head room area that is out of the range of light allowed to pass through the strobe.

hope that answers some questions about how this was lit.

oh.. and it was mounted on a stand that was haphazardly propped up on the sink area, behind me.. and everything did get a little damp due to some spray and humidity..
